A Gl/rowing Study

The beginnings of a work in progress combining techniques of night photography and table top macro photography. I really enjoyed the quality of light combined with detailed nature of the photographs.

See Ya Later Alligator

Yesterday I got the opportunity to shoot a couple of frisky young alligators hanging around the boardwalk. It was a fun opportunity to have them that close and that active. Their eyes are so intense that I think it really made for some interesting shots.

Sometimes we forget why we love to do what we love to do. Without the constant motivation of school assignments, etc. after graduation I found myself fall into very lazy habits. Lately I had been bored with everything and anything and then I realized it’s because I had abandoned, at least temporarily, my passions. I was bored out of my mind yet I had not taken a single photograph in over a month. Thanks to the motivation of a good friend I’ve recently gotten myself back into the swing of things and have been reminded of how much I really love photography and how good it feels to be out there in the field camera in hand. I feel reawakened and despite my dull day job I feel like my creativity and passion has recently reached a point far beyond what I had settled for before. I had forgotten how much I really needed my photography- it's so much a part of who I am that when I let it go even for the briefest of periods I was pretty lost.
